NMEA O
UT
The NMEA Out screen enables you to configure NMEA message output from the ParaDyme system for
use with 3rd party precision agriculture applications. The ParaDyme system supports two NMEA ports:
Port A and Port B.
Note:
You must refer to the documentation for your precision agriculture application to determine
the correct NMEA message type and Baud rate. An incorrect setting may cause your system to
function incorrectly.
To enable and configure NMEA messages:
1. Press the NMEA Out button from the GPS menu.
The NMEA Out screen appears.
2. There are two NMEA options available for each port.
Refer to the following sections for details.
Note:
If you enable too many messages or enable too high of a message rate for the current Baud
rate, an error message appears with instructions to change the configuration. Failure to do so will
cause messages to be corrupted.
Port A Messages
The Port A Messages option displays the status of available NMEA messages and enables you to edit
the configurations. To configure NMEA messages:
1. Select the Port A Messages item from the scrolling
list on the right, select the type of message you want to
configure, and press the Edit button. The Available
Rates screen appears.
2. Select a message rate (and version if using GGA
messages) for the selected message type, and then
press the check mark button. The NMEA Out screen
appears and your changes are saved.
Note:
If your device uses GGA messages, use the Table 6-1 to choose the correct version
