Manual Steering Override Adjustment
This procedure should only be used if you have already used the AutoCal procedure (see
Steering Override Adjustment” on page 26
) and still want to make additional adjustments.
To adjust the transducer high pressure kickout limit:
1. Press the START button and attempt to turn the
steering wheel left or right with the factory default kick
out value. If the default value works satisfactorily,
proceed to Step 3. If you need to set a new value,
proceed to Step 2.
2. If the system does not disengage, press the minus
button to lower the kickout limit. If the system
disengages too easily, press the plus button to raise the
kickout limit. Turn the steering wheel left or right with the
new setting until the system kicks out properly.
3. Once you are satisfied with the setting, press the Save
Limit button to save the kickout limit. The successful save
dialog box appears. Press the check mark button and then
press the Right Arrow button.
Gyro
The gyro is used when the vehicle does not have a
Wheel Angle Sensor installed. The gyro sends heading
signals to the ParaDyme system in order to ensure
efficient autosteering operations.
The scrolling list Gyro item displays a curvature rate if
the gyro is installed.
