5. When the system is done with the Wheel Angle
Sensor calibration, the Valve calibration procedure
begins. In this procedure the system sends a series of
commands to the hydraulic actuator to test its
response:
• First, the system measures the maximum speed (sweep
rate) that the wheels turn.
• Second, the system calibrates the actuator.
Note:
In this procedure, the vehicle goes rapidly from full left to full right and back multiple times.
Next, it goes slowly from left to right and back.
6. When the system is done with the Valve calibration,
the Calibration Complete screen appears. Press the
check mark button to save the calibration data to the
database and begin the Calibration Verification
procedure. The Calibration Verification Introduction
screen appears.
7. Press the Resume (Start) button to begin the
Calibration Verification process.
Note:
Your vehicle should be moving at normal operating speed before you begin the Calibration
Verification process.
Note:
The vehicle will execute a series of maneuvers during the Calibration Verification process
including driving in a straight line and slight left and right turns.
8. The ParaDyme system begins the Calibration
Verification process. A series of screens appear
displaying calibration status and providing prompts for
the vehicle operator. Follow the on-screen prompts to
complete the calibration.
Note:
You can press Pause and Resume (or manually turn the steering wheel) at any time during
the Calibration Verification procedure if needed to ensure safe vehicle operation. However, the timer
for the current step is reset each time you press the Pause button.
