NOTE:
The process to assign, modify, or unassign a profile to an Integrity BL8x0c i2 server blade
can take up to several minutes.
The following table describes the fields within the Define Server Profile screen.
Column name
Description
Profile
Profile Name
Descriptive name for the server profile. The specified text is used as the base
(prefix) for the name of the created Virtual Connect server profiles. The text
can be up to 48 alpha-numeric characters, dashes, and underscores. Do not
use spaces.
Advanced Profile Settings (on
Select to show if server factory defaults are being used for Ethernet MAC
Addresses, Fibre Channel WWNs, and Serial Numbers (Logical).
Ethernet Adapter Connections
Port
Relative order of the Ethernet port on the server receiving the profile. System
board NICs are first in the order, followed by NICs on mezzanine cards.
Network Name
Name of the network associated with this port, selected from a list of defined
networks
Status
Displays the current linked status of the selected port
Port Speed
The requested operational speed for the server port. Valid values include
"Auto", "Preferred", and "Custom". The default value is "Preferred".
If the speed type is "Auto", the maximum port speed is determined by the
maximum configured speed for the network.
