Dolby Module Firmware Upgrading
Firmware for the Dolby modules is included within the Imagestore 750
software. A module’s firmware will be upgraded automatically during a
software update, but only when an update is required. However, it is worth
noting that Dolby module firmware upgrades are relatively slow compared
with other parts of the software/firmware upgrade process.
Note: Each Dolby module firmware upgrade can take 3-4 minutes to
complete. Therefore the overall software upgrade time could be
extended by up to 16 minutes.
Please monitor progress on Imagestore 750 front panel and do
not power down the unit too early since this may render it
inoperable.
Throughout the software upgrade, progress is reflected on the front panel of
the Imagestore. This indicates which software/firmware file is being loaded.
For Dolby modules, the filenames start with the Dolby module model number
(for example, “Load cat552” or “Load cat559”).
