Audio Mix Files
The Audio Mix File is used to set up the Audio Mix Processor Engine. It
specifies sets of audio sources or inputs (whether external AES, embedded or
internal) to be mixed together and then assigns results to particular
destinations or outputs (External AES, Embedded or Metering).
The Imagestore 750 comes pre-loaded with a set of Mix Files for common
audio configurations, selectable from the front panel.
This section explains the function and terminology of the mix file and how to
create them.
Note:
The ‘Route Manager’ option within the Configurator tool is
now the recommended method for setting up the Imagestore
audio engine. This graphical tool represents the entire audio
setup and automatically generates a mixfile for the user.
Introduction
This section explains the mix file structure used to create the audio mix files
for Imagestore 750. Please see the Standard Mixfiles section on page 291 for
the extended information and in-depth functionality of the standard mixfiles.
The conceptual mixer arrangement used in Imagestore 750 is based on the
Imagestore 2 Easysound audio model. This is an A/B mixer followed by a
number of cascaded voice-overs.
