B. Once the Management IP Address is known – use Command-line to PING: Type “ping
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” at the Command-line prompt (where ‘xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx’ denotes the unit
Management IP Address).
The response should confirm whether the CSU is properly connected and communicating.
5.5
Performing the Automated Firmware Update Procedure
1. From the CRS-500 Web Server Interface, click Utility |Upload.
2. To upload the firmware update file: Click [Browse] to locate and select the firmware file
downloaded previously into the User PC’s temporary folder.
Click [Upload!] to begin the update process, and then wait while the scrolling “File Upload
Progress:” status bar displays the upload progress:
3. Once the file has been uploaded to CSU flash memory, the Bulk Image file that is not currently
selected as the ‘Boot From:’ image will be overwritten (that is, if you select Image#1 as the
current boot image then, accordingly, the Image#2 file slot is automatically chosen for
replacement).
