Chapter 1 Detailed Drive Operation
For example, the operator presses the Stop button on the Local HIM to stop the
drive. When the operator attempts to restart the drive by pressing the HIM Start
button, the drive does not restart. The operator needs to determine why the drive
will not restart.
When the Start button is pressed on the HIM, the display indicates that the
command is coming from the HIM; Parameter 678 [Start Owner], Bit 1 “Local
HIM” =1.
After the Start button was pressed and released, bit 1 returns to “0” indicating
that there is no maintained Start commands causing the drive to run.
The operator then checks parameter 677 [Stop Owner] and see that bit 0
“Terminal Blk” is set to “1”, indicating that the Stop device wired to the digital
input terminal block is open, issuing a Stop command to the drive.
Until the device wired to the digital input closes, a permanent Start Inhibit
condition exists and the drive will not restart.
