Error Condition
Probable Cause/Recommended Action
The time of the clock on XP Remote Web Console is
reset.
Clear cache (the existing temporary Internet files) of
the web browser before logging on to XP Remote
Web Console.
XP Remote Web Console processing is temporarily
delayed.
An internal process (for example, configuration
change, Product check, operational information
acquisition) may be executing on the SVP (web
server).
If you are unable to resolve an error condition.
Copy the XP Remote Web Console configuration
information onto floppy disk(s) using the FD Dump
Tool (see
Downloading Trace Files Using the FD Dump
on page 124), and provide this information to
your HP account support representative.

When you switch panes from one pane to the XP
Remote Web Console pane, the XP Remote Web
Console pane is not redrawn.
Close all panes and then log on to XP Remote Web
Console again.
If you select (click on) the XP Remote Web Console
main pane while displaying a dialog box, the dialog
box disappears (hides) behind the XP Remote Web
Console main pane.
Select (click on) the dialog box again.
If you select (click on) the XP Remote Web Console
main pane while using XP Auto LUN or XP
Performance Control, these panes disappear (hide)
behind the XP Remote Web Console main pane.
Select the XP Auto LUN pane or the XP Performance
Control pane again.
Press
on the XP Auto LUN pane and the XP
Performance Control pane remains active, even if you
click Apply, and the process is being executed. In this
case, the panes are closed if you click
.
Even if the panes are closed, the processing continues
normally.
The Web browser is forcibly (abnormally) closed.
If the Mozilla browser or the Java™ virtual machine
hangs abnormally, you must delete the abnormal
processes before you can continue the XP Remote
Web Console operations.
Calling the HP Support Center
If you need to call the HP Support Center, make sure you can provide as much information about the
problem as possible. Include the circumstances surrounding the error or failure, the XP Remote Web
Console configuration information saved in the floppy diskette(s) by the FD Dump Tool, the exact content
of any messages displayed on the XP Remote Web Console, and the severity levels and reference codes
displayed on the Status tab of the XP Remote Web Console main pane (see ???).
