Recov. from prim. site fail. via delta resync (50-08-xx or greater FW) (prior to 50-08-xx FW)
If a disaster or failure occurs only in the primary site in a 3DC multi-target system, you can use the
secondary volume in the Continuous Access XP Synchronous secondary site to enable the secondary site
to take over your business tasks. After transferring your business tasks to the secondary site, you must
repair the failure at the primary site, so you can transfer your business tasks back to the primary site.
To transfer your business tasks to the Continuous Access XP Synchronous secondary site:
1.
Use RAID Manager XP to execute the horctakeover command on the Continuous Access XP
Synchronouspair.
NOTE:
Unlike the procedure on the prior page, the Continuous Access XP Journal pair was not deleted.
2.
Use the Continuous Access XP Synchronous S-VOL to resume your business tasks.
3.
Check the execution result of the horctakeover command.
4.
If the Continuous Access XP Synchronous pair's primary/secondary relationship is not reversed (that
is, the copy direction is not reversed as illustrated in the upper-right in
because the primary
site is not operational, or if the Continuous Access XP Synchronous pair's primary/secondary
relationship is reversed (that is, the copy direction is reversed as illustrated in the lower-right in
because the primary site is operational, use RAID Manager XP pairresync command
to perform the delta resync operation on the volume in the Continuous Access XP Synchronous
secondary site. When performing delta resync operations on the volume in the Continuous Access
