NOTE:

You can specify the host name instead of the fixed IP address if the fixed IP address and the corresponding

host name are registered in /etc/hosts, an NIS server, or a DNS server. See the

NAS Blade

Manager User's Guide

for information about registering the fixed IP address and the corresponding host

name in /etc/hosts and how the NAS Blade system can search the host name using NIS or DNS.

Checking the contents of the RAID Manager XP configuration definition file

By combining the following commands, you can check whether an appropriate LU is specified in the

HORCM_DEV section in the RAID Manager XP configuration definition file.
First, start RAID Manager XP in both the NAS package in which the Continuous Access XP Journal P-VOL

is connected and in the NAS package that uses the S-VOL (see

Table 44

).

Table 44 Procedure for starting RAID Manager XP

$ sudo horc_setenv HORCMINST 16 (For instance number 16)
or sudo horc_setenv HORCMINST 17 (For instance number 17)
$ sudo horc_unsetenv HORCC_MRCF
When you logged in to the target NAS package using SSH and performed the above

setup, confirm the setup by once logging out of the NAS package and relogging

in.
$ sudo horcmstart.sh

By issuing the pairdisplay command in the NAS package in which the Continuous Access XP Journal

P-VOL is connected or in which the S-VOL is used, you can see the LDEV numbers of LUs specified in the

HORCM_DEV section (see

Table 44

).

Table 45 Checking LDEV numbers of LUs specified in the HORCM_DEV section

$ sudo pairdisplay -gg Device Group Name
