Kernel Software Watchdog Related Errors
This section describes the kernel software Watch Dog-related errors.
kSWD-APP_NOT_REFRESH_ERR
kSWD-kSWD_GENERIC_ERR_CRITICAL
Message
Critical kSWD-APP_NOT_REFRESH_ERR, 1, (kSWD)Application with
pid <PID number> not refreshing watchdog.
Explanation
A critical kernel software error occurred in the Watch Dog subsystem. A kernel
application is not able to refresh. See the specified PID number to find out
which application is failing. The switch will reboot (on single-CP switches) or
fail-over (on dual-CP switches).
Action
Run the
savecore
command to find if a Core File was created. If a Core
File is found, select the FTP the file option.
Copy the error message and contact customer support.

Explanation
A critical application error was reported in the Watch Dog subsystem. Refer to
the string at the end of the error message for specific information. The switch
