DCOM Setup

C) Testing the DCOM Connection from the PC

Note:

Only attempt to test the DCOM Connection from the PC after both the PC and Oscilloscope have been set for DCOM configuration.

Let’s test the DCOM Connection from the PC to the Oscilloscope using the following steps:
1. If not already done, install XStream Browser.
2. Launch

the

XStream Browser

application on the PC. Make sure that the version of the software is at least

1.0.3 by verifying from the Help/About screen – Help (Menu Bar) Æ About.

3. On

the

XStream Browser

screen, click File Æ Connect to Remote Instrument (DCOM).

4. The

Network Address of DCOM-enabled Instrument

dialog is shown. Provide the Scope Name or its IP

Address

and click OK.
