Valid address ranges are 00h through 0Fh (0 through 15 in
decimal numbers).
3) MIDI 1st Note: Legal MIDI notes are numbered from 00h
through 7Fh (0 through 127 in decimal numbers). The only
problem is that if you are actually using a keyboard to ac-
cess the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40, no keyboards actually
have all 128 keys. A real piano only has 88. ‘Middle C’ is lo-
cated at 3Ch (or 60 in decimal numbers) on all MIDI key-
boards. You can count to the South and North of ‘Middle C’
to determine what numbers your keyboard will actually gen-
erate.
Numbers below the value you set for the ‘MIDI Note Off-
set’ will be ignored. If you wanted to start accessing the fea-
tures of the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40 at ‘Middle C’, you
would set this offset to 3Ch (or 60 in decimal numbers).
4) Repeater Control Channel: This is the Show Control chan-
nel which is set to the Mp3 Player to select and play tracks,
ramp audio to a level, stop and pause. If this address is larg-
er than 255/0FFh, then it will be displayed with a ‘+256’ no-
tation. Valid values are from 00h to FFh (0 to 255 using
decimal numbers). This is normally set to a channel which is
not used for any of the Show Control outputs, but it can be
if this suits your application.
5) Left Level Control: If using audio control from the Show
Control side of the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40, then this is the
Show Control channel which will control the left audio out-
put level. Valid values are from 00h to FFh (0 to 255 using
decimal numbers). If this address is larger than 255/0FFh,
then it will be displayed with a ‘+256’ notation.
6) Right Level Control:
If using audio control from the Show
Control side of the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40, then this is the
Show Control channel which will control the right audio out-
put level. Valid values are from 00h to FFh (0 to 255 using
decimal numbers).
7) First Animation Channel: This is the first channel of Show
Control data which will be sent to the first Show Control
Outputs. Valid values are from 00h to FFh (0 to 255 using
decimal numbers). If this address is larger than 255/0FFh,
then it will be displayed with a ‘+256’ notation.
8) eeFlag0: These are the binary ‘flag’ settings from the ‘Mp3
