not booted (most common causes of this is either no SmartMedia
card installed, or SmartMedia card which needs to be ‘blessed’),
or is busy being a hard drive via the USB port.

p) This indicates if a Mp3 file is being played or not. A ‘Y’ indicates

that sound is being played. A ‘N’ indicates that sound is not being
played.

s) This indicates a ‘stuck’ byte in the show control to Mp3 Player in-

terface. It will normally be ‘N’. If it is ‘Y’, it is because the Show
Control side has sent a command to the Mp3 player, and the
Mp3 player has not responded in a timely manner.

If the Real Time ‘Atomic’ Clock option has been installed in the Mp3-

50/8 or Mp3-50/40:

a) The current time will start displaying on the command line. There

is a delay of approximately 5 seconds after any command before
the time will return to displaying. The time is displayed first
(nn:nn:nn), followed by the day of week (1-7, with Sunday =1),
date (mm/dd/yy), and then the schedule number (0=none, 1-
255) being used for the day/DOW.

b) The option to ‘set time’ will be available.
c) A ‘N’ after the ‘set time’ command indicates that no schedule file

has been loaded onto the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40. A ‘Y’ indi-
cates that the Schedule file for the RealTime ‘Atomic’ Clock has
been loaded.

d) If the option to enable/disable the Real Time ‘Atomic’ Clock has

been selected from the Mp3 Configurator, the line which shows
the status of the ‘C/Blue’ input will also show whether the clock is
currently enabled or not. A closure on the ‘C/Blue’ input will en-
able the Real Time ‘Atomic’ Clock.

e) If the option to resynchronize the Real Time ‘Atomic’ Clock has

been selected from the Mp3 Configurator, the time it will be
reset to is shown on the line which shows the ‘D/White’ input sta-
tus. A closure on the ‘D/White’ input will resynchronize the internal
RealTime clock to to this time. This keeps the Mp3-50/8s or Mp3-
50/40
s internal clock synchronized to the external ‘Atomic’
Clock
.

f)

When the Real Time ‘Atomic’ Clock starts a sound or show, this
will be displayed on the command line for approximately five sec-
onds before the current time starts displaying again.
