begin flashing.
13) Use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons to set the minutes to 05.
14) Press the ‘alarm’ button again. The ‘weekday’ alarm should
now be set to 3:05 AM.
15) Press the ‘alarm’ button again to return to displaying the current
time.
If you press the ‘mode’ button three times, the ‘Atomic’ Clock will dis-
play the time in Greenwich, England (‘Zulu’ time) and the offset to the local
time zone. In North America:
1) West Coast time is -8
2) Mountain time is -7
3) Central time is -6
4) East Coast time is -5
If you need to change the current setting for your time zone:
1) Press & hold the ‘mode’ button. The offset from ‘Zulu’ time will start
flashing.
2) Use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons to set the offset as needed.
3) Press the ‘alarm’ button to return to displaying the current time
(you can also press the ‘mode’ button again and manually set the
date and time on the clock).
If you manually set the time on the ‘Atomic’ Clock (press & hold the
‘mode’ button), you have the option of setting the time to display in 12
hour or 24 hour ‘military’ time. We usually set the ‘Atomic’ Clocks for the
latter, because the schedules are also set in 24 hour ‘military’ time.
Setting the date and time on the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40: You must
manually set the date and time in the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40 when it is
first installed. This is because the signal from the ‘Atomic’ Clock only sets
the hour and minutes. The month day and year must be set manually
through the serial port.
The serial cable for connecting the Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40 is normally
included as part of the ‘Atomic’ Clock ‘package’. If you ordered the ‘Atom-
ic’ Clock option separately as an upgrade, you may need to order the seri-
al cable separately as well.
