slots towards lower number slots. If a single slot is left unpopulated, or popu-
lated with a Mp3-50, will break the daisy chain. This can be used to divide
the backplane into two or more universes.
If you are daisy chaining MIDI, run the MIDI signal into the highest num-
bered populated slot in the Mp3-50/CC-10. This card MUST be set for an
optoisolated, current loop input. All of the consecutive cards downstream
of the first card should be set for RS-422 operation.
If you are daisy chaining DMX-512 or networked serial commands, all of
the cards should be set for RS-422 operation. Again, the signal is wired into
the highest numbered populated slot and will be daisy chained through all
of the adjacent lower numbered slots.
An Mp3-50, Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40 can be converted back to stand-
alone use by simply reversing the installation process. Remove the two
screws which hold the connector card into the Mp3-50/CC-10, Plug it back
into the Mp3-50, Mp3-50/8 or Mp3-50/40, and secure it with the two
screws.
