PIECEWISE TABLE BLOCK (PW)
The piecewise table block is a data only block. The table consists of two to 60 pairs of X, Y
floating point coordinates. Piecewise table can be constructed for supporting a linearization
block or as a source of floating point recipe data. In addition, the X and Y coordinates are
tuneable parameters.
When a Piecewise Table is used by the linearizer block for piecewise (X coordinates) or
inverse piecewise (Y coordinates) linearization, the table must be constructed with the proper
coordinates in ascending order with no duplicates. A properly constructed table will have
either the ’Can Be Piecewise’ or ’Can Be InversePiecewise’ attribute set at YES.
When a Piecewise Table is used as recipe data, the rules for linearization do not apply and
any relational floating-point data may be entered.
A functional block diagram of the block is shown in Figure 9-1. The display which is used to
configure the piecewise table block is shown in Figure 9-2 (page 1).
