Totalizer Block
8-100
08
Command (CMD) .................................................................................................................-WR
The totalizer message commands of RESET and STOP will reset the totalizer when it is
received if the direction input quality is GOOD or Bad Inputs are Accepted, regardless of the
loop or block state. This attribute provides a dummy location in the database to which
commands can be addressed. The value read from this location will always be 0. The
following values, when written to this location, will be interpreted as commands:
RESET
1
Resets the totalized count to the low limit if direction is UP or high
limit if direction is DOWN and the counting continues.
STOP
2
Reset and stop at the low limit if direction is UP or high limit if
direction is DOWN.
RUN
3
Continue from current count.
HOLD
4
Stop and hold current count.
09
Threshold (THRESH) ........................................................................................................ CWR
When Input Type is Analog, threshold indicates the lowest input value that will be integrated.
Any input values lower than the threshold will be ignored.
When Input Type Pulse (future), this field specifies the minimum frequency that will be used
for totalizing pulses. Any input frequency lower than the threshold will be ignored. The input
frequency is measured each time this block executes. Allowed value is 0.0 or greater.
Default is 0.0. Enter a non-negative floating-point number.
10
Scale Factor (SF)............................................................................................................... CWR
This feature allows custom scaling of totalized count. This value can be any number greater
than zero. A value of 10.0 will divide the total by 10. A value of 0.1 will multiply the total by 10.
Default is 1.0. Enter a positive floating point value.
11
High Limit (HL) .................................................................................................................. CWR
The limit value for an UP totalizer or the reset value for a DOWN totalizer. Enter a floating-
point number greater than the low limit and less than or equal to 9999999. Default is
9999999.0.
12
Low Limit (LL) .................................................................................................................... CWR
The limit value for a DOWN totalizer or the reset value for an UP totalizer. Enter a floating
point number greater than or equal to zero and less than the high limit. Default is 0.0.
13
Predetermined Count 1 (PC1) .......................................................................................... CWR
This value is compared to the totalized count and Predetermined Count 1 Status is set
accordingly. Valid value is 0.0 to 9999999.0. Default is 0.0.
14
Predetermined Count 2 (PC2) .......................................................................................... CWR
This value is compared to the total count value and the Predetermined Count 2 Status is set
accordingly. Valid value is 0.0 to 9999999.0. Default is 0.0.
15
Total Count (TC)................................................................................................................ CWR
Totalized count. The minimum count is 0.0 and the maximum count is 9999999.0. The initial
default value is 0.0.
