MAP Technology
The Luminex 100 IS uses software specially developed to increase
efficiency in the clinical laboratory and in research and development.
It assumes that end users in the laboratory are running microtiter
plates using
x
MAP-based assay kits developed for use with
x
MAP
technology.
Include in your end user kits a template on floppy disk or CD along
with instructions.
Overview
Use the
x
MAP Technology software to develop templates for use on
the Luminex 100 IS system.
You first develop your assays using New Advanced Batch located on
the Acquisition Detail tab, which is part of the Luminex 100 IS
software. The process is explained in this guide.
Then, you create products that include standards, controls, or both
for use with your kits. You can select predefined algorithms for
quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data has two algorithms. You
can edit the default values and ranges to customize the qualitative
interpretation, specific for your assay.
After creating products, you define template information that
includes gate settings, sample volumes, the number of tests included
in the kit, and analyzer functions.
About This Guide
This guide provides information to aid with template development in
the Developer Workbench software. It assumes that you are an
experienced assay developer and that you understand the basic
principles of Luminex Technology. For information about the
Luminex 100 IS, refer to the Luminex 100 IS User Manual
Version 2.2.
