complete detailed definitions.
Analyte.
Any substance which is detected through assay analysis.
Typically, each bead set represents a single analyte. In this
application, there is one test or bead set associated with an analyte.
Bead Set.
A set of
x
MAP microspheres that have a uniquely
identifiable ratio of two classification dyes. The unique ratio is
identified by a unique spectral address.
Control.
Include controls in every batch to assess the reliability of
sample results.
Product.
A group of standards and controls that you use to create a
template. Products are analogous to “reagent kits”. They are used in
the template’s definition for the multi-analyte assays that will be
performed.
Standard (also called assay calibrators).
Use standards to generate a
standard curve for quantitative testing or to set thresholds for
qualitative testing. Quantitative standard curves and qualitative
thresholds are then used to determine unknown sample values.
Template.
A sequence of commands and preset assay information.
You must define all the standards and controls used in a template as
a single product.
Test.
Each test represents an analyte and corresponds to a bead set
which is represented by a bead ID.
