New Advanced
Batch
This feature is only available on the Acquisition Detail screen. For
detailed guidelines for determining specific parameters see “General
Guidelines” on page 3).
A New Advanced Batch is a simple mechanism for assay developers
to acquire data without having to build a template. It does not store
results in the Luminex 100 IS data base or allow developer to
perform data analysis on acquired batches. It does write the raw data
results to simple csv file format.
To create a New Advanced Batch:
1. Click the New Advanced Batch button. The Options dialog box,
General tab appears. See Figure 7.
2. Fill in the Name, Description, and Operator fields.
3. Edit the Sample Size field if desired. The default value is 50 uL.
This field accepts values from 20 to 200.
4. Edit the DD Gate field as desired. The default value is 7500 to
15000. The field accepts a range of 0 to 32767.
5. Edit the Timeout field as desired. The default value is 25
seconds. The field accepts a range of 0 to 400 where 0 is no
timeout. We recommend 45 to 60 seconds.
6. Click the arrow down next to 100 regions to select the desired
bead map. The available bead maps are 25, 50, 64, and 100
regions.
Note:
The Luminex 100 IS software uses only the 100 region
Bead Map. While in Acquisition Detail, you can view the data
for 25, 50, and 100 regions and save to a csv file.
