24.6 ip rip authentication string LINE
Syntax ip rip authentication string [STRING]
Parameters LINE Authentication string

Description RIP version 2 has simple text authentication. This command
sets authentication string. The string must be shorter than 16
characters.
Examples ASUS(config-if)# ip rip authentication string 12345678

Syntax Ip rip receive version (1| 2| 1 2)
Parameters (1| 2| 1 2) RIP version 1 or 2 or 1 & 2

Default The default is to receive both versions.
Description Version setting for incoming RIP packets. This command will
enable the selected interface to receive packets in RIP Version 1,
RIP Version 2, or both.
