6.4 Managing Edits
6.4.1 Description
An edit is a container for an EDL, or Edit Decision List. It is represented by its name, its
metadata and its EDL. The EDL is the representation of the edit. In the IPD Xedio plugin,
the edit is graphically represented when it is loaded on the Timeline pane.
Edits may have been created from the IPD Xedio plugin, the Director’s Cut module of
IPDirector or the IPBrowse application. They can also be created from the conversion of
a playlist. Edits can only be modified from the CleanEdit interface.
They can be organized in bins and sent to targets.
