4. Importing Media
4.1 General
IPD Xedio plugin offers a way of acquiring media files for use within the system. Through
the Media Importer tab, authorized users can import media so they will be referenced in
CleanEdit.
You can perform the same imports from:
•
the Xedio Manager application, in the Media category, Media Importer tool.
•
the Xedio Importer application
The common import functions are explained in the Xedio Importer user manual.
The following sections provide only an overview on the import functions, and deal with
features specific to the Media Importer tab in the IPD Xedio plugin.
4.2 Importable Media
When you click the Media Importer tab, the Media Importer window is displayed in the
Work area, allowing you to select media to import. Several tabs are available depending
on the type of media you want to import:
•
Video/Audio/Stills sub-tab
To import media files, image or audio files
•
RTD sub-tab
To import video containing transitions
Note
The names of the mandatory fields are displayed in red in the user interface
as long as you do not define a value for them.
Warning messages are also displayed at the bottom of the tab to tell the user
which fields should be filled in.
