DUT#configure terminal Enter the Configure mode.
DUT(config)#interface eth-0-1 Specify the interface (eth-0-1)to be configured and enter the
Interface mode.
DUT (config-if)#no shutdown Enable the interface.
DUT(config-if) # no switchport Configure on physical port only, change this port to Layer3
interface.
DUT(config-if) # ip address 9.9.9.3/24 Configure IP address to 9.9.9.3/24.
DUT(config-if)#exit Exit the Interface mode and enter the Configure mode.
DUT(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0/0 9.9.9.8 Add a default route with nexthop 9.9.9.8
