23.1.3 Configurations
Purpose
Enable IGMP&PIM-SM in the interface of eth-0-1 of Router A
Configure switch A: eth-0-1 in vlan111, eth-0-2 in vlan10, and eth-0-3 vlan20
Eanble MVR in the switchA, it is required that only one copy of multicast traffic from
Router A is sent to switchA, but HostA and HostC can both receiver this multicast traffic.
Router A
enable ip pim-sm and igmp in the eth-0-1
DUT# configure terminal Enter the configure mode
DUT(config) # interface eth-0-1 Enter the Interface mode..
DUT(config-if) # no switchport Configure on physical port only, change this port to
Layer3 interface.
DUT(config-if) # no shutdown Enable this interface.
DUT(config-if) # ip address 12.12.12.12/24 Configure IP address to 12.12.12.12/24.
DUT(config-if) # ip pim sparse-mode Enable pim sparse-mode on interface
DUT(config-if) # end Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Switch A
