Welch Allyn Propaq CS Vital Signs Monitor

Customize alarm limits based on patient’s current vital
signs

To quickly set all alarm limits, from the Main Menu press SETUP, ALARMS, STAT SET.
The monitor turns on all alarms and calculates new alarm limits based on the patient’s
current vital sign values. Make sure that the new limits are appropriate for the patient.

STAT SET limit calculations

a

a.

New alarm limits calculated by STAT SET cannot be outside the allowable alarm limit range. If a new limit is calculated to be above
or below the allowable alarm limit range, it defaults to the maximum or minimum alarm limit allowed for that vital sign.

WARNING If a patient’s vital sign value falls outside of the upper or lower alarm
range limit, STAT SET turns off the alarm and the alarm limit except for the
following:

1.

The lower alarm limits for SpO

are not turned off by STAT SET.

If HR/PR ALARM LIMITS in the Settings window is set to CANNOT TURN
