Removing the Middle Planes

support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with
the product.

1 It is recommended to turn off the system, including any attached

peripherals, and disconnect the system from its electrical outlet.

2 Open the system. See “Opening the System” on page 151.
3 Remove the system-board assemblies. See “Removing a System-Board

Assembly" on page 170.

4 Remove the cooling-fan cage. See “Removing a Cooling Fan” on page

154.

5 Remove the screws that secure the middle-wall bracket to the chassis.

See Figure 3-80.

6 Lift the middle-wall bracket out of chassis. See Figure 3-80.
