SET IP INTERFACE
Syntax
set ip interface=eth0 ipaddress=
ipaddress
|BOOTP|DHCP
mask|netmask=
subnetmask
Parameters
interface
Specifies the interface number. This value is always
eth0.
ipaddress
Specifies an IP address for the switch or activates the
BOOTP or DHCP client software.
mask
Specifies the subnet mask for the switch. You must
netmask
specify a subnet mask if you manually assigned the
switch an IP address. These parameters are
equivalent. The default is 0.0.0.0.
Description
This command configures the following switch parameters:
IP address
Subnet mask
This command can also activate the DHCP and BOOTP client software on
the switch. Activating DHCP and BOOTP with this command is equivalent
to using “ENABLE BOOTP” on page 36 or “ENABLE IP
REMOTEASSIGN” on page 38.
Note
You cannot assign an IP address to the switch if the DHCP and
BOOTP client software is activated.
To display the current IP address and subnet mask, refer to “SHOW IP
INTERFACE” on page 60. To return the IP address and subnet mask to
their default values, refer to “PURGE IP” on page 41.

Examples
The following command sets the switch’s IP address to 140.35.22.22 and
the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0:
