SHOW INTERFACE
Syntax
show interface= port
Parameter
port Specifies the port whose interface information you want
to display. You can specify more than one port at a
time. You can specify the ports individually (for
example, 5,7,22), as a range (for example, 18-23), or
both (for example, 1,5,14-22).
Description
This command displays the contents of the interface MIB for a specific port
and provides the following information:
ˆ ifIndex - The index of the interface in the interface table.
ˆ ifMTU - The size, in octets, of the largest packet that can be
transmitted on this port.
ˆ ifSpeed - An estimate of the port’s current bandwidth, in pits per
second.
ˆ ifAdminStatus - The configured state of the port, one of the following:
up - The port is up.
down - The port is down.
ˆ ifOperStatus - The current operational status of the port, one of the
following:
up - A valid link exists between the port and the end node.
down - The port and the end node have not established a link.
unknown - The port status is unknown.
ˆ ifLinkUpDownTrapEnable - Whether or not link traps have been
enabled for the port, one of the following:
enabled - Link traps are enabled. To disable link traps, see “DISABLE
INTERFACE LINKTRAP” on page 103.
disabled - Link traps are disabled. To enable link traps, see “ENABLE
INTERFACE LINKTRAP” on page 106.
