Card Capacity Message Enabled

This parameter allows you to specify whether or not the E Series displays the CARD LOW
message when the remaining storage capacity of the card reaches 30, 15, and 5 minutes. Data
recording needs to be enabled and a data card must be present.

To enable this option, Report Memory Card Errors must also be set to Yes; otherwise, the
option is ignored.

Values are as follows:

Erase Card Prompt at Pwr Off

This parameter allows you to set the E Series unit so that you can erase the data card at power
off if the card contains only self test and, optionally, synchronized cardioversion data. To
enable this option, the Allow Card Erase option must also be set to Yes.

When set to Yes, the unit displays the prompt Erase Card -- Yes/No? when you turn the Selector
switch to the OFF position and the following criteria are met:

A data card is installed in the E Series unit.

The unit has NOT performed a defibrillation, other than a self test, since power on.

Note:

You can also configure the E Series unit to display the Erase Card -- Yes/No?
prompt if the card contains only synchronized cardioversion data. See the “Sync
Defib Excluded” on page 52 for more information.

The unit has NOT delivered a pacing current greater than 25 mA since power-up.

If you select Yes at the prompt within 15 seconds, the card will be erased, verified, and the unit
will subsequently shut off. If you select No, or 15 seconds is exceeded without a response, the
unit will shut off without erasing the card.

Values are as follows:

Remove Card Prompt at Pwr Off

This parameter allows you to set the E Series unit to prompt you to remove the data card at
power off if the card contains any information other than self test and, optionally, synchronized
cardioversion data.

When set to Yes, the unit displays the prompt Remove Card when you turn the Selector switch
to the OFF position and the following criteria are met:

A data card is installed in the E Series unit.

The unit has performed a defibrillation, other than a self test, since power on.

Note:

You can configure the E Series to not display the Remove Card prompt if the card
contains only synchronized cardioversion data. See the “Sync Defib Excluded” on
page 52 for more information.
