8.2.3 Primary Master Submenu
Appears when [Primary Master] is selected from the [Main] menu.
Sets the type and operating mode for the connected internal hard disk unit.

Item Setting Description
Type Auto (Fixed parameter) Sets the type of the IDE device.
Transfers Mode Disabled (Fixed parameter) When [Type] is set to [Auto], displays the number
of sectors detected and transferred at once by the
server.
LBA Translation Disabled (Fixed parameter) Sets whether to enable or disable the LBA (Logical
Block Addressing: access based on logical serial
numbers).
PIO Mode FPIO 4/DMA 2 (Fixed
parameter) Sets the PIO (Programmed I/O) data transfer mode.
32 Bit I/O Enabled (Fixed parameter) Specifies the bus width for data transfer between
the CPU and the IDE controller.
Ultra DMA Mode Mode2 (Fixed parameter) Sets the DMA (Direct Memory Access) data
transfer mode.
