• Setting the mark-in or mark-out point changes the duration automatically.
• Editing the duration automatically changes the timecode of the mark-out point.
• Pressing the
In
or
Out
button sets the playback timecode, at the point when the
button is pressed, as the mark-in or mark-out point.
• When you set the mark-in or mark-out point (when you press the
In
or
Out
button), the respective button lights up in green.
About changing mark-out points in event trimming
When you change a mark-out point during a playlist playback while watching the
video of an event on your monitor, the video at this mark-out point becomes the
mark-in point of the next event. If you want to set any desired video as the mark-out
point, you must set the video that is one frame forward from the desired one as the
mark-out point.
Information of source and mark-out points on your K2 Summit Production Client and K2
Dyno Controller consists of timecodes that are one frame forward from ending video.
Mark-out points are determined based on these timecodes. The reason for this operation
is because the duration of a source will not become the value obtained by subtracting a
mark-in point value from that of the mark-out point if a timecode of ending video is set
as a mark-out point.
For example, assuming that the mark-in point is "00:01:10,00" and that the mark-out
point is "00:01:40,00", the duration is "00:00:30,01" if the mark-out point is the
timecode of the source's ending video.
The duration is "00:00:30,00" if the mark-out point is the timecode that is one frame
forward from the source's ending video.
