Starting and stopping a recording

Starting and stopping a recording

Live playback

1. Press the

Live

button.

• The recording begins, and "LIVE" is displayed in the Home screen.

• The

Live

button lighst up in red during a live playback.

NOTE: If you touch

P1/P2 Lock

at the bottom of the Home screen, this prevents an

operator from changing the playback status, such as cueing up and replaying of the
item, or performing operations with the T-Bar, Jog knob, and camera angle
changes. To turn off the on-air lock, touch

P1/P2 Lock

.

Stopping a recording

The data recording is stopped. It does not stop the item playback.

1. Touch the

Home

tab.

2. Press the

Shift

button, and then touch

REC STOP

.

3. Touch

when a confirmation message is displayed.

Home Properties
panel

Flying M/E: If selected, applies a flying mix effect. To configure the
Flying M/E settings,

"Effects settings" on page 90

(DEF)ABC: Determines the camera angle for the live playback.
Auto Play: Automatically plays a selected item.
Auto Cue:Automatically cues a selected item.
PGM/PVW: Toggles between the on-air preview or multi-channel
mode. For more information, see

"On-air preview mode and Gang

mode" on page 40

T-bar Calibration
panel

Shows the T-Bar settings. To calibrate the T-bar settings, touch this
panel.

Session Property
panel

Shows the session currently using the K2 Dyno Controller. To see the
Session List screen, touch this panel.

Server Property
panel

Shows the K2 Summit or Solo currently connected. To see the Server
List screen, touch this panel.

Status Indicators

Shows the angle, channel mode, recording/playback status, speed, and
timecode.

(8)

EXIT

Opens the Confirm Exit screen, which lets you shut down the Dyno
Controller, exit to Windows, or open the Maintenance mode.

REC STOP

Stops recording.

P1/P2 Lock

Turns on or off the on-air lock, which protects from improper
operations during a broadcast.
When you touch this button, depending on the channel selected, P1
Lock or P2 Lock displays. This lock disables operations to change the
playback status, such as cueing up and replaying of the item,
operations with the T-Bar or Jog knob, and camera angle changes.

TRANSFERS

Opens the Transfer Status monitor.
