Chapter 2 Starting Up and Shutting Down
Shutting down the K2 Dyno Controller
Exit the K2 Dyno Client software to shut down the K2 Dyno Controller.
1. Touch the
Config
tab to display the Config screen.
2. Press the
Shift
button, and then touch
Exit
.
The Confirm Exit screen opens, by default, to show the Startup Screen shutdown
mode.
3. Select the action of the K2 Dyno Controller:
•
Startup screen
— Returns you to the Summit List screen
•
Shut down
— Closes the Dyno application and powers off the system.
•
Maintenance
— Closes the Dyno application and restarts in Maintenance
mode.
4. You can also choose to continue recording or not.
Switching to Maintenance mode (the Windows OS)
When you want to update software or use the Windows OS for tasks such as adjusting
the clock or setting the IP address, exit the K2 Dyno Client software and enter
Maintenance mode.
1. At the startup screen, press the
Shift
button and then touch
Exit
.
2. Toggle the
Startup Screen
button until you see
Maintenance Mode
. If desired,
you can also specify whether to stop recording or not.
3. Press
Restart
.
The K2 Dyno software closes, and the Dyno controller restarts in Maintenance
mode.
