The blade design provides the possibility to cover unused faceplate elements like LEDs or push
button behind a custom overlay foil.
5.15 Faceplate Serial Interfaces
The ATCA-8330 has a serial interface. It is fully compliant to industry standard 16550
asynchronous communication controllers. The serial line interface is integrated in the Intel
DH8900CC PCH and routed to the onboard FPGA, which distributes it to either faceplate or
IPMC for SOL. The serial line interface supports baud rates up to 115200 kbps through a
programmable baud rate generator.
