Carriage Jam
If the carriage is unable to move because of foreign objects in the printer or because of
mechanical failure, the following messages will alternate in the display.
To recover from this error condition:
1. Press the On/Off Line key to take the printer off line.
2. Open the access cover.
3. Clear the obstruction and make certain the carriage can move freely.
4. Close the access cover.
5. Press the On/Off Line key to place the printer on line. When the printer goes on
line, the printer will reset the carriage, check the paper path, and clear the error
message from the display. The printer will indicate a paper out condition if the
paper needs to be reloaded.
6. The form thickness adjustment will automatically reposition for normal operation.
