The printer offers a selection of multiple character pitches and fonts for all
modes of operation. The setting of Feature 09 determines the font and pitch for
the primary character set. These can be selected at the operator panel or via the
communications line by using escape sequences. The default value for this
feature is 10 pitch draft. Fonts and pitches can also be changed via the
communications
line by using escape sequences. The printer will indicate an
illegal setting by sounding the bell.
