Elastic (for wide elastic band)
Use this technique when applying elastic to lingerie.
A soft elastic band is recommended.
(Uneven or skipped stitches may occur on thick or hard
elastic bands).

Disengage upper knife (refer to page 18).
Place elastic on top of the right side of fabric and even
with the raw edge.
Serge on elastic side along the edge, stretching elastic
in front of the needle while guiding both edges along
the guideline of the needle plate.
Turn elastic up and press fabric down.
Engage upper knife.
