If you want to adjust how much the Sharpen tool sharpens, double-click it; otherwise,
skip to step 4.

The Sharpen Options dialog box appears.

Adjust the Sharpen setting as necessary, then click OK.

For best results, keep the setting as low as possible.

If it’s not already selected, click the Sharpen tool in the Tools palette to select it.

The Sharpen tool becomes highlighted when it’s selected.

Position the pointer over the part of the image you selected.

The pointer changes to the Sharpen icon.

Click anywhere in the selected area.

PhotoFlash sharpens the selected area.

Removing dust

You can use either the Remove Dust command or the DeDust tool to remove
dust from a selected area or an entire image. Both methods work best if you
carefully select the part of the image from which you want to remove dust.
Otherwise, PhotoFlash may interpret part of the image itself as dust and
remove details you don’t want removed.
