If you click on the image itself while this dialog box is open, the place you
click appears in the Before and After boxes.

Adjust the slider as necessary to achieve the look you want.

When you’re ready to apply the new setting, click Enhance.

PhotoFlash applies the Blur setting you specified to the frontmost window. If
the window contains an image that includes a selection, PhotoFlash blurs the
selection only. If the window contains a catalog with selected thumbnails,
PhotoFlash blurs the images they represent and ignores any selections the
images may contain.

Using the Blur tool

To blur part of an image using the Blur tool, follow these steps:

Select the part of the image you want to blur.

For instructions on using the Selection tools, see Chapter 3, “Working With
Selections.” To select the entire image, choose Select All from the Edit menu.

If you want to adjust how much the Blur tool blurs, double-click it; otherwise, skip to
step 4.

The Blur Options dialog box appears.

Adjust the Blur Options setting as necessary, then click OK .

If it’s not already selected, click the Blur tool in the Tools palette to select it.

The Blur tool becomes highlighted when it’s selected.

Drag this slider to increase or
decrease the Blur tool’s effect.
