AppleScript
A system extension that allows you to control programs with the
aid of scripts. The term AppleScript also refers to the AppleScript scripting
language, one of several scripting languages that can take advantage of the
capabilities provided by the AppleScript scripting extension.
catalog
A PhotoFlash file that represents a collection of images. A catalog
doesn’t contain the actual image files that it represents. Instead, it contains a
small copy of each file, called a thumbnail, and keeps track of the file’s
location on disk. The arrangement of thumbnails in a catalog is completely
independent of the arrangement of the image files on your hard disk.
CMYK
A method of representing colors in an image, typically used in the
printing industry, in terms of the relative proportions of Cyan, Magenta,
Yellow, and Black that each color contains.
DCS (Desktop Color Separation) 1.0
A variation of the EPS file format used by
page layout programs. It is also one form of
CMYK
file. An image stored in the
DCS 1.0 format is split into five separate image files: Four represent the Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow, and Black components, and the fifth shows how the whole
image looks and can be viewed from within a page layout program or from
within PhotoFlash.
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
A file format used primarily to export image
files for use with page layout programs.
