Page 120

You can record scripts to automate many such repetitive tasks. This chapter
describes how to record, run, and edit scripts.
To record and run scripts that control PhotoFlash, you must have AppleScript
installed in your system. If you use the Installer program to install PhotoFlash
according to the instructions in the first chapter of
PhotoFlash Getting Started,
the AppleScript software is installed in your system automatically.
IMPORTANT
When you launch PhotoFlash, you should see a Script menu in
the menu bar that includes the scripts that come with PhotoFlash. If the Script
menu is dimmed, AppleScript may not be installed correctly. If you didn’t use
the Installer program to install PhotoFlash, quit PhotoFlash and reinstall it
according to the instructions in PhotoFlash Getting Started.
For information about the scripts that come with PhotoFlash, open the file
named PhotoFlash
™
Scripting Guide in the Advanced Scripting folder, which
is located inside the PhotoFlash Folder.
The Script palette and Script menu
You use the PhotoFlash Script palette to record, save, and run scripts or to
open them for editing. If the Script palette isn’t visible on your screen, choose
Show Script Palette from the Window menu to make it appear.
