Depending on the type of image file that you are converting to the EPS file
format, the following limitations may apply:
m JPEG compression is available only for image files that are in millions of
colors, 256 grays, or the CMYK file format.
m You can print EPS JPEG files only on a PostScript Level 2 printer.
DCS
DCS stands for Desktop Color Separation. It is used in page layout and other
programs that can prepare color images for printing.
When you convert an image file to the DCS file format, PhotoFlash creates
five separate image files:
m
Master file
contains an image created for positioning in the page layout
program. This image file can be opened and reviewed; it represents the
content of the image. Its filename contains the suffix /DCS.
m
Cyan
contains the cyan components of the image file. Its filename includes
the suffix /DCS.C.
m
Magenta
contains the magenta components of the image file. Its filename
includes the suffix /DCS.M.
m
Yellow
contains the yellow components of the image file. Its filename
includes the suffix /DCS.Y.
m
Black
contains the black components of the image file. Its filename
includes the suffix /DCS.K.
For example, if you saved an image file named Bike in the DCS file format,
the five files would look like this on the desktop:.
