As you resize the selection, its new dimensions appear at the bottom of the
Tool palette.
If you want to resize a copy of the selection, so that the original selected area
underneath it remains intact, hold down the Option key while you drag.
5 Release the mouse button.
The selected area changes size. If you’re not happy with the results, choose
Undo Resize Selection from the Edit menu and try again.
You can use the Resize tool the same way to resize an entire image: Start by
choosing Select All from the Edit menu, then perform steps 2 through 5.
To change an image file’s uncompressed size on disk or its resolution when
printed, use the Resize command as described in the next section.
