Rotating part of an image

To rotate part of an image, follow these steps:

1

Select the part of the image you want to rotate.

For instructions on using the Selection tools, see Chapter 3, “Working With
Selections.”

2

Click the Rotate tool in the Tools palette to select it.

The Rotate tool becomes highlighted.

3

Position the pointer over the selected area.

The pointer changes to a tightly curved arrow.

4

Drag any corner of the selection in the direction you want to rotate it.

As you rotate the selection, the angle measurement at the bottom of the Tool
palette changes.

If you want to rotate a copy of the selection, so that the original area
underneath it remains intact, hold down the Option key while you drag.

5

Release the mouse button when you’ve rotated the selection to the desired angle.
