Launching application programs from photoflash, Choosing a different scripting language – Apple Macintosh PhotoFlash User Manual
Page 126

Running a script can cause actions in more than one program. For example,
you can run a script that makes a copy of an image file, saves the copy as a
TIFF file, and places the TIFF version of the image in a word-processing
document.
Launching application programs from PhotoFlash
In addition to scripts or aliases to scripts, programs or aliases to programs that
you save in the Scripts folder appear in the Script menu and the Script
palette. You can use the same techniques you use to run a script to launch a
program from within PhotoFlash:
m Choose the program’s name from the Script menu.
m Double-click the program’s name in the Script palette.
m Select the program’s name in the Script palette and then click the Run
button.
m Drag selected thumbnails over the program’s name until it becomes
highlighted and then release the mouse button to open the corresponding
images in the program. (If the program’s name won’t highlight, it can’t open
those images.)
Choosing a different scripting language
If you have installed more than one scripting language in your system, a pop-
up menu that allows you to switch between languages appears in the Script
palette below the Record button.
