In the navigation tree, click the Event Viewer node. The complete event log (All Logs) appears.

In the navigation tree, expand the Event Viewer node and click Recent Logs or All Logs.

The event log for the domain to which you are connected appears. The following properties are
displayed, by default, for each event.

Property

The row number. In the Recent Logs node, the lowest row number (1) represents
the most recent event. In the All Logs node, the lowest row number (1) represents
the oldest event in the log.

No

The severity of the event. Possible values:

Critical (

)—The event was a fatal error from which VSM could not recover

without rebooting. When a critical event occurs, the VSM server reboots.

Major (

)—A recoverable error, such as a virtual disk entering Partial status

or an async mirror group or task entering Failed status. The system tries to re-
cover from an error of this type. No immediate action is required by a user
unless the problem persists.

Minor (

)—An event usually requiring user handling, such as a VSM server

stopped sending a keepalive, in which case, you would probably need to
check the reported VSM server’s status.

Informational (

)—An event reported for informational purposes. For example,

a backup of the setup virtual disk took place or a user had logged in.
