23 Using the VSM event viewer
The VSM client features an event viewer, which enables you to view and manage event logs. Event
logs provide detailed histories of the events that occur in the VSM environment. You can use event
logs as audit trails to diagnose problems in the VSM environment. An event log can store up to
500,000 events.
There is one active event log per domain. You can use the event viewer to view the event log of the
domain to which you are connected. You can also import event logs from other domains and use the
event viewer to view those.
The event viewer enables you to choose between a list of all events or a list limited to the most recent
events. When specific events occur, the VSM client can automatically send event notification e-mails
to specific users. The VSM client enables you to configure the specific events that trigger event
notification e-mails and the specific users who receive event notification e-mails.
You can:
•

•
